Joshua Linsky is a Boston native musician currently based in Los Angeles. Linsky majored in Performance at Berklee College of Music where he earned his Bachelor of Music degree. As music director and drum set player of the hip hop group The Urban Nerdz he received "Hip Hop Act of the Year" honors from the New England Music Awards and the New England Urban Music Awards in 2012. The group was also featured at Boston's first annual Outside The Box music festival.

Linsky moved to Los Angeles to attend The Herb Alpert School of Music at California Institute of the Arts where he majored in jazz studies. After earning his Master of Fine Arts degree Linsky produced seven recording projects and toured California, the Pacific Northwest, and Canada. As music director for the funk group International Connection‚Äč Linsky curated a live recording and video series at Bedrock.LA studios. Following the video's publication the group toured California leading up to their debut album release event at The Troubadour. International Connection was showcased at the Echo Park Rising music festival in 2017. Since the release of his recent recording project track-a-week, Linsky continues to perform frequently throughout Southern California.

Josh has experience teaching all ages and skill levels in many capacities from group classes and ensembles to private instruction. While holding a music instructor position at Keyboard Galleria Music Center, Linsky has also provided classroom instruction at California Institute of the Arts, Pomona College, California State Summer School for the Arts, and San Marino Music Center.
