Josh Linsky is a musician from Colchester, Connecticut. As a student of drum set performance he earned his Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music. In Boston, Josh became the music director and drum set player of the hip hop group The Urban Nerdz. Under his direction they earned Hip Hop Act of the Year honors from the New England Music Awards and the New England Urban Music Awards. The group was also featured at Boston's Outside The Box Music Festival. Josh moved to Los Angeles to attend The Herb Alpert School of Music at California Institute of the Arts. While working toward his Master of Fine Arts degree in jazz studies he produced two independent releases; International Connection, and a self-titled album. Josh produced a series of live performance videos as music director for the funk fusion collective named after his first EP, International Connection. The group toured California leading up to the release of their self-titled debut with Sol Sounds Records. Josh has since featured on several works as a writer and performer. His recent album Family Tree  was released in 2020 in collaboration with Haus Music Production. Josh continues to perform in Southern California as a sideman, and is the music director of his own group in Ventura, California.
